As a certified dog trainer and lifelong hiker, our founder Mary van Kriedt saw firsthand how this disconnect impacts the bond and wellbeing of both pets and people. Every walk or hike should feel natural, fluid, and fun—not like a struggle for control.

The idea for FreeRun Leashes was born on a spontaneous hike when Mary, without a leash, improvised with a curly shoelace. That moment of hands-free freedom sparked something.

Over the following years, Mary designed, prototyped, and perfected what would become a patented harness-and-leash system that redefines the outdoor experience. Built for control without compromise, FreeRun Leashes let dogs move the way they were meant to—free, agile, and connected to their humans in a whole new way.
