I couldn’t be happier with these harnesses! I walk my dogs off leash, but occasionally want the additional security a leash provides, and these are perfect! The dogs have always enjoyed the freedom to explore without being tethered on their walks, but now walks are so much more enjoyable for me as well. I don’t have to lug two leashes or rush to clip them in if I feel it necessary. Walks and hikes are simplified and we all enjoy the freedom and simplicity these harnesses provide.

I have two 40ish pound cavapoos. I originally ordered the large based on their weight, but had to downsize. The customer service was phenomenal and worked with me to make sure we got exactly what we needed. These harnesses are people and pup approved!!

This is the one piece of gear perfect for everything from off-leash outings in the woods to walking in a "heel" in busy areas! I love how easy it is to grab the handle whenever I need to. Free Run Leashes offer the perfect mix of convenience for me, freedom for my dogs, and safety and respect for others as you pass by on walks. I like the front clip too- sometimes I attach a longer lead to that in certain situations. Thanks for making such a well-designed product!

I camp at least once a week and bring our dog Chloe with us. We usually do some truck-based camping in the backcountry and are often away from other people and animals. So, Chloe dog gets to be off-leash most of the time. But sometimes an animal (moose, fox, ground squirrel, etc) wanders into our camp, and Chloe lets us know. She is usually very good at staying put until we come to her and get control (years of training pays off!). But I always have her leash close by, or around my neck. This can get irritating with rubbing back and forth.

I was recently camping with a friend who had this really cool harness with a retractable leash on top. Just as I was noticing the system, a moose wandered into our camp area. We were able to quickly grab the retractable leash and keep his dog from lunging at the moose. This was proof of the system working and I immediately needed to get one for Chloe.

Now I have had the unit for about a month, and it goes with us on any walk over 20 minutes, as well as camping. Chloe's regular leash attaches to the Free Run harness with ease, and she has no issues wearing the harness for our daily 2-mile walk/hike.
