Inside the lightweight housing is a stainless-steel spring system and seatbelt-grade webbing leash that extends a perfectly balanced three feet and retracts smoothly and is the ideal length for freedom and control without drag, tangles, or recoil issues.

Magnetic Grab Handle.

Want your dog next to your side? The magnetic grab handle releases smoothly when you reach for it and clicks securely back into place when not in use. No dangling leash, no fumbling clips, just instant control when you need it.

Comfort, Custom Fit.

FreeRun is the first harness with fully adjustable straps for a precise, tailored fit. Once adjusted, trim the extra webbing and tuck it into hidden pockets for a clean, streamlined look. Both the padded harness and leash housing are water-safe and quick-drying. The custom fit eliminates rubbing, pinching, and slippage, even on long hikes.

At FreeRun Leashes™, we prioritize durability, safety, and thoughtful design in every component of our leash system.

The outer shell of the FreeRun Leashes housing is made from injection-molded plastic, a process known for producing incredibly strong, lightweight parts with high impact resistance. This same type of plastic is used in high-performance gear, including Burton® snowboard bindings, and North Face® equipment.

The key components are made from a combination of:

Performance-Tested Leash:
The leash is made from high-tenacity polyester narrow-woven webbing (NWF), the same material used in seat belts. It is extremely strong with minimal stretch with excellent abrasion and UV resistance.

Stainless Steel:
Rust-proof and incredibly strong, used for high-stress areas.

Injection-Molded Plastic: 
Provides strength, resilience, and smooth functionality.

Welded Stainless Steel Pin:
The leash itself is anchored to a stainless steel pin that is welded securely into place. This ensures that the connection point remains rock-solid under pressure.
